As a beginner, first you have to learn about Google Analytics and how Google Analytics works. Let’s start with the introduction to Google Analytics. Now fill out the details in the property setup window, such as property name, reporting time zone and currency. Click on next and fill out the business details such as industry category, business size and then next.

Select the objective from the listed topics such as generated leads, drive online sales, raise brand awareness, examine the user behavior and get baseline reports and click on create option. Select web platform. If you are using a website, you will get a tracking code that you have to place on your site. After adding a tracking code directly between the opening and closing bracket of the “head tag” of your site, again visit the GA portal to verify if the tracking code is working or not.
